*Proffers solutions to administrative distress from political cabals, harsh economy
The former Ebonyi gubernatorial candidate under the umbrella of the New Nigeria People's Party, NNPP, Prophet Chris Adol-Awam has expressed confidence that the state governor, Chief Francis Nwifuru would make Ebonyi proud in his present office.
He stated this on Monday while interacting with journalists some hours before the dinner night organised by Governor Nwifuru for the elected members of the State House of Assembly in Abakaliki.
Adol-Awam, who is the General Overseer of Eternal Light of World Christian Church assured that the stakeholders of the Izzi clan would not allow Governor Nwifuru to fail Ebonyians.
Recall that Adol-Awam recently defected to the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, but he has observed that if Governor Nwifuru fails, it would affect the Izzi people, and if he (Nwifuru) succeeds, the credit goes to the Izzi clan, and as such, the stakeholders can't leave him alone.
He added: "We have been praying for our governor, Nwifuru, for God to strengthen him with the heart to be independent of his former boss, David Umahi. This is because, if Nwifuru fails, the entire generation of the Izzi clan has failed. And people will say that Izzi people have failed, and we will never allow him (Nwifuru) to fail.
"Nwifuru is now the governor and must be detached from his former boss David Umahi. He should not disrespect him (Umahi) but must have an independent mind to take decisions that is favourable to the people of the state.
"The mandate Nwifuru is holding belongs to the Izzi people, if we keep quiet for him to fail, we are not doing ourselves good. And so, we must speak out and encourage him to succeed" he stated.
The General Overseer, however, called on Nwifuru to constitute an economic expert to help him revive the economy of the state, and shouldn't depend on taxation and federal allocation alone.
"The governor, Francis Nwifuru should arrange an economic team to assist him revive the economy of the state and shouldn't tax the citizens of the state so much. This economic expert should work with him directly to reorganize the economy of the state," he stressed.
