The immediate past Governor of Ebonyi State, Senator David Umahi said that President Bola Tinubu's administration's courage to deregulate the oil sector would enhance the economy of the nation.
Umahi, the lawmaker representing Ebonyi South District in the National Assembly made this known in his appreciation message to President Tinubu for his administrative tolerance of inclusiveness and equity in the recent appointment of the new Service Chiefs.
According to him, the courage of Mr President's administration to deregulate the oil sector and mitigate the economic hardship that faces the Nation is a major milestone in his gallant march towards the economic prosperity of Nigeria.
The Senator called for understanding and cooperation among the stakeholders to make the Nigerian economy work.
He prayed for Mr President's greater heights in the Renewed Hope agenda for Nigeria, asking God to bless the contributions of the newly appointed Service Chiefs in the service of the nation.
He noted: "The new Service Chiefs are no doubt men of proven professional competences who are combat-ready in tackling the aggressions of insecurity and economic sabotage in Nigeria. I, therefore, congratulate and convey my best wishes to them, and hope they will satisfy the yearnings of Nigerians.
"Let me place on record that the appointment of Chief of Naval Staff from South East is record-breaking and is greatly appreciated as a manifest commitment of the Renewed Hope administration of Mr President in removing barriers that create disparities in nation-building.
"This is indeed a demonstration of the strong character and reflection of the refreshing candour of the person and leadership of our dear President whose abiding love for the unity and progress of our Nation is unusual."
