Lawrence Egede inscribes this media pointer to unrewarded relentless service rendition by the flavorful writers in the society.
All are products of the brain work which requires the use of time, energy, patience, restraint, awakening and care to handle properly. It is cost-consuming.
A writer must be constructive ever before producing what is correct, or even what is not in the correct perspective can still include being constructive.
Constructive writers are like the Angels of succour, to the battlefield masters of events all around the world of people.
They run the greatest risk of abandonment and are kept silently stranded after sleepless nights, restless days and relentless brain services to humanity.
It happens mostly in politics where they are sacrificial lambs and victims of disappointment, at the end room of slaughter of sleep and adequate relaxation.
When other physical moves are mobilized to the fields of work, mental mobilization has already got to the destinations targeted and has spoken a lot to the mindsets of the public.
Politicians don't normally have value for mental mobilization in their agenda, because of a lack in their congested heads to get what they want running around, which is not only the ultimate.
They forget that information is also part of what they are trying to do, which must have been in the activities of writers who are giving them media support and solidarity behind the scene.
This piece talks about issues concerning politics, services, democracy, past governments and the old and new crops of leadership here and there in the nation including Ebonyi State.
It concerns those who do their best in devotion to duty, and the brain workers of observation in public places of activities.
A new democracy and the new generation of leaders in Ebonyi State must now blend, with a few notes of warning to be careful about and avoid the pitfalls in politics.
These pitfalls can derail the trust, hope and confidence that the masses do repose on those elected into the various political positions of power, for honest services to be well rendered.
As of now in Ebonyi State, there are still some mop-ups to be done on the political parties, that are still kicking against the past 2023 GUBER Election in Ebonyi State. The cure is only when they know that crisis is not the ultimate but peace.
Congratulations to the new crops of leaders coming up on board the ship of government, to ferry people across the sea waves of the new democratic dispensation in Ebonyi State.
The happenings in the world people demand that it is seriousness based on the level of responsibility that matters a lot, not just the dancing and the celebration of passing over the barriers of poverty effect.
Nigerians are getting poorer in the political, social, economic, mental, moral, psychological, emotional and environmental regions of life, because of the lapses in solving the perennial human emancipation problems facing the nation everywhere.
As of now, Nigeria has got ugly issues invading democracy and the leadership circles reign in the administrative offices.
There's a need for information on democratic operations in the country, about the dangers of not having enough good contributors in politics.
The issue about leadership in democracy is to take notes that won't jeopardize the welfare of good contributors in a regime.
I strongly believe that in well doing, everything will be alright with everybody in a democratic setting, not just for a few folks enjoying the liberal system.
The most important thing is that "Democracy" has come to stay in Ebonyi State. Whether you are a good leader or not, or that you are a fruitful servant or not, or whether you contributed anything good or not, whether you've been forgotten or not, or whether you are remembered or not, or whether you fed fat or not with your position, or whether you made promises and failed to fulfil them or not, or whether you built mansions or not, or that people suffered under you or not, or you left behind those who did everything to see you through or not, whether you've got many gains and others do not have anything at all or not, or that you are now a sacred cow or not, or that your meal is now richer or not, or you did so well to enrich a few persons or not, the fact remains firmly that "democracy" has come to stay with us in Ebonyi State.
I can see the joy on the faces and in the hearts of the younger generation of leaders in Ebonyi State today. I can see those not born earlier enjoying the legacy of the founding fathers, who did everything possible and fought the obstacles in the past for the creation of Ebonyi State.
I can see those who don't even know how the State came to be enjoying the positions of power, which they deserve as youths in Ebonyi State today. I can see a brand new democracy thriving in the hands of the youths now in Ebonyi state. Thanks to the immediate past regime which saw the relevance, to give birth to a new democracy in Ebonyi State. Personal pride is over.
On our part as writers, the most important questions are how far did help to do our best for the successive regimes to prosper? Were we recognized more importantly at the end of the dispensation or dumped?
If we were recognized, then to what extent? Was it in Cash or in another way, other than the usual giving of political office to man which is not the best gift? Must every reward be a political appointment, which may not be the choice of the beneficiary?
Were we recognized in honour or with dishonour and on what basis did it happen? Or were we the hopeful types given a carrot of a certain appetizing promise, good assurance, or a high level of confidence but later ignored?
All the answers to the multiple questions are that after months of sleepless nights and restless days of pen and ink writing, a brand new democratic regime has emerged in Ebonyi State.
In writing it was to persuade, convince and attract the media attention of the opposition, and the world of pen warriors come together and follow in Support and Solidarity, to usher in a new democratic dispensation and it happened as was expected.
Now, there are questions from the whole exercises as regards life after the whole campaign movements, if there were some befitting rewards for the efforts, contributions and services?
The questions continue to ask if anything tangible and impressive was given to anybody in the struggle, or that nobody got something in return, or that some were left behind to wait in vain and perhaps reap the wind from where they didn't sow any seeds.
Who is that honest servant spending night sleep with open eyes as a victim of tediousness, restlessness and zealousness, who performed relentlessly and in the end, offers were assured, but still, nothing came out of it in return? What will it result in and how will the feelings be?
Who is that workaholic Boss of the century having some sincere volunteer workers, but perhaps for a reason unknown, he or she seemed to forget the relationship quietly, as if there's an obstacle, offence, sabotage or that something went wrong somewhere in the long run?
Who is that big master whose taste is productivity in Industry and who knew someone doing well, but in the end, nobody can tell why he or she seemed to have been forgotten with silence?
Who is that very great master knowing freewill servants and giving them good attention, but at last seemed to leave them in absolute confusion to begin to wonder, wander and query the reasons behind the lapses?
This is on top of the fact that there's a question to ask as to what has gone sore, suspected or ill-reported about anybody in the long run.
How many were called to service and didn't benefit for having worked in good faith, identified without income but were yet promised laurels and yet nothing tangible happened at last? Maybe time is still on.
Who had ever been made to do something and was left in doubt about earning a living, where he sowed seeds for the benefit of many other people but was badly left empty-handed?
Who is he or she that took up a mantle of true service for the good of people, but was treated with ignominy after all said and done at work yet enduring it?
Who is he or she that was invited by the powers that be and was given assurances, but was left wondering what killed the positive result lastly?
Who is he or she that can be so treated and disregarded in silence, to a state of disgust for want of responses kept away in imagination and frustration?
Who is he or she having hope for previous gifts not given at all, but kept inside an unknown cooler of guesswork, hoping to get something against hope in oblivion?
Can there be light at the end of the tunnel on the other side, when the tide had gone yonder or has gone beyond proper awareness from the times already past?
Who is that man in whose own heart there is no deceit and in whose mouth there is no guile, in whose mentality there's great energy and in whose life there's zeal for support and solidarity but treated as simple trash?
Who is that man or woman creating enough time to write in promotion of good works done, but somehow became a victim of spent sleep and a parable of the ignored profitable servant, asking multiple questions in the end?
Check out who is he or she, if you have ever become a victim of lamentation in Jerusalem or Jericho, and perhaps in some areas concerning local politics in Nigeria, or in other places of ugly experiences here or there.
Can the Almighty God be of good cheer, where his freewill servants suffer setbacks here and there in disappointment because politics ignored them and their contributory values?
His Mighty and Everlasting Name must be glorified in one way or the other one day at one moment, for His blessings still abound. The end isn't near yet.
God is urging the victims of disappointment not to relent in doing what is right at the right times, in the right ways and be in the right mood with the right approach to all issues.
This is because Jesus Christ did not come in vain to serve God and the human race freely for nothing, without the equivalent rewards even when mortals can be silently funny to disappoint themselves in the end.
To God is the glory forever.
