Nwoke, who was elected under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in the just concluded 2023 elections, said the triumph of Ihonvbere as the House of Representatives Majority Leader proved him as a leader loved by his people.
The Ebonyi state legislator maintained that Ihonvbere's new job in the Green Chambers did not come as a surprise but had always his expectation, that an occasion of this nature would show up.

I, Honourable Nwoke Victor Chidi, Member of Ebonyi State House of Assembly, representing the people of Abakaliki North State Constituency, on behalf of My family and Constituents Congratulate you, the House Majority Leader House of Representative, Professor Julius Ihonvbere of Owan Constituency, Edo State, South-south Nigerian, on your emergence as the Majority Leader of the 10th Assembly Green Chamber.
As a leader loved by his people, it didn't come as a surprise but I had always expected an occasion of this nature to come.
You are an astute politician with enough leadership experience, I urge you to display your wealth of wisdom in making sure that Nigerians enjoy more democracy dividends by making laws that can benefit the masses.
