Ebonyi Governor's wife, Chief Mrs Mary-Maudline Uzoamaka Nwifuru has interfaced with the different partners of the United States Agency for International Development, USAID to stimulate the general well-being of the citizens of the state.
Mrs Nwifuru during an interactive meeting in her office, yesterday Abakaliki indicated an interest in collaborating with the USAID partners to tackle the general welfare of the Ebonyi citizens.
She expressed her enthusiasm to know the achievements, challenges and prospects of all the USAID partners since they came to the state to enable her to understand where to make her inputs in perfecting their missions.
“I am here to hear from you, to know your achievements so far, challenges and prospects, so that I can know the areas I can help to perfect your mission in the State," she said.
In an interview, the Ebonyi State Program Coordinator for the USAID Health Workforce Management, Dr Ibiam Azu commended Mrs Nwifuru for having shown interest in collaborating with the team and assured of working with her office to move the state forward.
The Coordinator noted that the Governor's wife has mapped out a plan to lunch her pet projects, and accordingly, her synergy with USAID partners becomes very significant.
“The Governor’s Wife wants to lunch her pet Projects and she felt it’s necessary to partner with all the USAID Partners in the State.
"This will give more credence to her pet Projects.
"So what we have come here to do today is to allow Her Excellency to identify different projects to partner with her to achieve her pet Projects,” Ibiam said.
Nigerian Pilot reports that the representatives of the USAID - Integrated Health Programme (IHP), Anada Marga Universal Relief Team (AMURT), USAID-Momentum Project, USAID-FEEDiFUTURE, USAID-State2State, USAID-Breakthrough Action Nigeria, among others were present at the interactive meeting.
All of them presented their respective objectives, achievements, challenges and some recommendations which would help to make greater impacts on the well-being of the state if properly applied.
