The bishopric sat mute in the corner of the present impunity and lawlessness with its salvaging hands wrung!
Tongue-tied? No! But the debilitating silence of my Lords, his eminence, Archbishop Lucius Ugorji and His Grace, Archbishop eEmeritusA.J.V Obinna long silence elongated the unjustifiable incarceration and detention of the consummate journalist, Chinonso Uba (a.k.a Nonsonkwa) in police custody.
The Ohanaeze Youth Council (OYC), the apex socio-cultural youth organization of Igbo race worldwide, in the face of the spate of political killings, insecurity, motivated insurgencies, executive lawlessness thriving on strong stilts supportable by Gov. Hope Uzodinma in Imo State, has tackled and/or urged the said respected religious leaders to break out from the shackles of their slumber and silence to lend their respected, salvaging voices against the unexplainable political killings, politically motivated insecurity and executive lawlessness in Imo State, more especially, the group frowned at their silence at recent unlawful incarceration of Nonsonkwa in unexcused detention before his belated release.
The Ohanaeze Youth Council, OYC, noted in furtherance that the surprising silence of the said top religious duo, as herein complained of, over what it described as a deliberate silence on executive impunity, lawlessness, illegality and the unwarranted killings of Imo people, and many others, by the non-state actors laughably known as Ebube-Agu and untrained security pilots and/or operatives going on in Imo State since three (3) years and (6) six months now has worsened the current situations in the State with appalling prodigal characteristics of excess governmentalisation of both public and private lives against the legal rights and freedom of the Imo people as the present political administration and/or government as led by the notorious Nigerian phantom of Idi Amin has leveraged on the muteness and/or killing silence to continue in their rudderless repression, impunity, police brutality, detention, destruction and killings without being checked.
Speaking to newsmen at Owerri, the State capital, on Thursday, the 31st day of August 2023, Comrade Igboayaka O. Igboayaka, the National President of Ohanaeze Youth Council (OYC) recounted that his eminence archbishop Lucius Ugorji's silence during his stay in Abia State as Bishop of Umuahia Diocese has repeated in Imo State over the killings of their sheep by Gov. Hope Uzodinma's reckless government which is very suspicious of an episcopal acquiescence by the religious leaders who would have openly rebuked or cautioned Gov. Hope Uzodinma but they may have eaten with the despotic king agent and/or minion politically planted in Imo State by Fulanis for the advancement of Fulani agenda against the Imo citizenry and the Southeastern people, at large. It's not in the tradition of our bishops and/or our archbishops in the Owerri archdeaconry and/or episcopal district, particularly such for example like his grace A.J.V Obinna, archbishop emeritus, to keep mute when illegality becomes the order of the day especially when the lives of the innocent masses, Church members or people are in danger.
Comrade Igboayaka O. Igboayaka alleged that both his eminence archbishop Lucius Ugorji and his grace archbishop emeritus A.J.V Obinna were, through his eminence archbishop Lucius Ugorji, persuasively asking Chinonso Uba, (a.k.a Nonsonkwa), a journalist, a worker cum a radio broadcast at Oziza FM, a formidable Catholic own media outlet, to apologise to Gov. Hope Uzodinma before he could be released.
How could those saddled with the divine mandate to guide and protect the sheep from the satanic wolves, coyotes and vultures dine with the said carnivores in Imo State?
Well, history has been replete with the obvious in the old testament as most of the then prophets were normally silenced by the despotic, ruthless cum ungodly kings when they dined with them carelessly.
Therefore, I have the feeling that the silence of the Catholic, Anglican, Methodist clergy, and Protestant Clergy including other priests, clergy and/or pastors and many General Overseers who have kept quiet in the face of the political abominations and atrocities being committed in Imo State by Gov. Hope Uzodinma is evident that they are romancing with Gov. Hope Uzodinma against the helpless masses in Imo State.
It's no longer a rumour, going by one of the video clips wherein Asari Dokubo was interviewed, that he has revealed in an open statement, his sordid engagement by Imo State government to partner with him and his cannibalistic cohorts on private security operations which video clip has vindicated Chinonso Uba (Nonsonkwa) and as result laid credence to the viral video made by Nonsonkwa that led to a petition against him by the Imo State government led by Gov. Hope Uzodinma.
It's the first in the annals of history of Imo State that a governor, such for example like Gov. Hope Uzodinma, sanctioned an illegal effort, by way of a trumped-up petition, in such a devilish commando style to shut down any voice and brutalized anyone that would rise against his system of mediocre, bloodthirsty, ruthless and tyrannical ghumanismgovernment. It hasn't been depleted in our memories of the evil political saga orchestrated by Gov. Hope Uzodinma and his cohorts against Hon. Ikeagwuonu Ikenga Ugochinyere through such machination they virulently pursued him for a mortal political overtake and destruction but Hon. Ugochinyere, being on the foundations of truth and justice, jumped and did past! Now, they are up on the game again against Nonsonkwa.
Based on our intelligence, many more vocal voices and/or people are yet to be targeted for crushing in Imo State to smoothen his unpopular desperate second bid agenda that has been rejected by the "few people alive" in Imo State.
Comrade Igboayaka O. Igboayaka queried why the same Catholic institution that employed Chinonso Uba (Nonsonkwa) should be hell-bent on persuading Chinonso Uba (Nonsonkwa) to donate and/or offer an apology letter to Hope Uzodinma before he could release him?
In actual sense, it's Owerri archdiocese, his grace, archbishop emeritus, A.J.V Obinna and his eminence archbishop Lucius Ugorji that delayed the prompt release of Chinonso Uba, Nonsonkwa, in detention because the information available to Ohanaeze Youth Council revealed that Chinonso Uba, Nonsonkwa, stoutly disagreed with the said top religious figures on offering of any apology to Gov. Hope Uzodinma.
I have since one month ago informed Owerri Catholic Bishops to call Gov. Hope Uzodinma to order for It's obvious, relying on my conviction, that if his eminence archbishop Lucius Ugorji and his Grace, archbishop emeritus A.J. V Obinna had cautioned and urged Gov. Hope Uzodinma to release and withdraw the said trumped-up petition written against Chinonso Uba (Nonsonkwa), Gov. Hope Uzodinma would have obliged them immediately as Chinonso Uba (Nonsonkwa) wouldn't have spent more tthan72hrs in detention, Comrade Igboayaka O. Igboayaka stated.
We, therefore, inform the general public not to channel their anger only towards Gov. Hope Uzodinma but also heap and deposit their wraths on his eminence, archbishop Lucius Ugorji and his grace archbishop emeritus A.J.V Obinna, both Methodist and Anglican Bishops in Imo State over their destructive silence, in the circumstance, against long incarceration of Nonsonkwa and the tribulations of the painful ordeal he passed through in the hands of despotic Gov. Hope Uzodinma before his release.
To finality, therefore, Ohanaeze Youth Council, in humility and reverence to our Lords archbishops hereinabove referred to, and in their magnanimity, urges his eminence archbishop Lucius Ugorji to drop the idea of harbouring evil government by speaking out to justice.
Ohanaeze Youth Council, therefore urge his grace, archbishop emeritus, A.J.V. Obinna, his eminence archbishop Lucius Ugorji, his Lordship Bishop Augustine Ukwuoma, my Lord Bishop Chukwuma Opara of Owerri Anglican Diocese, his grace Bishop Benjamin Chinedum Okeke of Orlu Anglican Diocese, his lordship Bishop Geoffrey Enyinnaya Okorafor of Egbu Anglican Diocese, his grace Bishop Henry Okeke of Ideato Anglican Diocese, his eminence Bishop Chidi Collins Oparaojiaku of Ohaji/Egbema Anglican Diocese, my Lord Bishop Solomon Amanchukwu Amatu of Okigwe Catholic Diocese, his grace Bishop Godson Udechukwu Ukanwa of Mbano Anglican Diocese, Prelate of Methodist Church Owerri Diocese, his Eminence Bishop Samuel Uche and many other leaders at Altar to openly and secret advised Gov.
