The Ebonyi South Senatorial Aspirant under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Comrade Marcelo Nwaji Anyigor, has described the victory of Governor Francis Nwifuru as a booster of democracy in the state and Nigeria at large.
Anyigor who is the South East Director of Asiwaju Grassroot Foundation, AGF Project Beyond 2023, observed this in his congratulatory message to Governor Nwifuru yesterday after his victory at the Ebonyi State Tribunal sitting in Abuja.
He also described Nwifuru as a pragmatic and dogged Leader, noting that "his milestone and overwhelming victory at the Ebonyi State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal in Abuja on Wednesday 27th September 2023, remains a booster to our democracy."
He further said: "Nwifuru's victory at the tribunal has shown that God sincerely loves Ebonyi citizens, who came massively at their various polling booths on Saturday 18th March 2023 to vote you into his present office.
"Thereon, the good people of Ebonyi State in their intimidating numbers demonstrated their joy over your irresistible victory at the polls during your inauguration at Pa Ngele Oruta Township Stadium on 29th May 2023 as the fourth Executive Governor of Ebonyi State.
"Truly, the Lordships in their tribunal judgement have done marvellously well by showing a high sense of courage, transparency and responsibility to nurture the seed of emancipation, and the overall development plan the Ebonyi people planted through their massive votes to you to become our leader.
"Your Excellency, be rest assured that your victory is well-deserved and indestructible and it is for all Ebonyi citizens, who have shown their unflinching support and assurance during the tribunal interval.
"Sir, as you continue to deliver your incredible agenda, "The People's Charter of Needs," to the Ebonyi people, may God strengthen, protect and provide you with all the enablement to signpost your leadership dispositions.
The APC Chieftain however, urged the opposition parties in Ebonyi to accept defeat and work with the leadership of Governor Nwufuru to develop the state, stressing that his victory is a victory for the general wellbeing of the citizens.
