Ebonyi South Senatorial Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Barrister Silas Onu has expressed his preparedness to win Saturday's bye-election in the zone.
Onu in a press release made available to journalists, on Tuesday in Abakaliki, said he has the keys to the victory at the polls come February 3rd, 2024.
He disclosed his meeting with the PDP ward executives across the five local government areas of Ebonyi South Senatorial District to lay fundamentals for the party campaign activities at the hinterlands.
While expressing gratitude to his supporters, Onu thanked the PDP ward executives across the zone for standing firmly and believing in him and the PDP ahead of the Saturday rerun.
He described as falsehood, the alleged declaration by his opponents that the PDP has no candidate for the Ebonyi South Senatorial rerun.
"Opposition parties have spread falsehood around that PDP does not have a candidate for this Senatorial rerun in Ebonyi South, whereas I'm in the race to beat," Onu hinted.
The Senatorial hopeful, however, tasked the party ward leaders and other critical stakeholders to continue preaching the gospel of PDP in their various wards and polling units.
According to him, ward leaders and stakeholders of the PDP should continue to reach out to the voters in their polling units, and encourage them to come out en masse and vote for the PDP.
"This time, your votes will count on this election to bring the change they desire in the zone," Onu added.
Speaking further, the Director General of Onu's Senatorial Campaign Council, Chukwuma Igwe assured the Ebonyi South people especially the PDP supporters of the PDP victory come 3rd February 2024.
