The member representing Abakaliki North Constituency in the Ebonyi State House of Assembly, Dr Victor Chidi Nwoke has disbursed cash to his constituents to enrol for the 2023/2024 United Tertiary Matriculation Examination/Joint Administration Board, UTME/JAMB.
Nwoke, the Chairman State House Committee on Youth and Sports Development, said his passion for assisting his constituents acquire quality education spurred him to disburse the money to them to purchase the UTME/JAMB form.
He noted that the beneficiaries who are already ripped for tertiary education were selected from the seven political wards in the Abakaliki North State Constituency.
"I deemed it necessary to pay for their JAMB registration fees as a way of supporting them in the pursuit of higher education," the Lawmaker hinted.
He, however, advised the beneficiaries to enrol in extramural lessons to enable them to perform excellently in the UTME/JAMB examination.
He also urged them to acquire skills to be a little financially independent while in school.
Emphasizing the need to maintain a high sense of discipline in their academic pursuits, Nwoke urged them to obey their parents always to receive parental blessings.
He asked the prospective UTME/JAMB candidates to always notify him anytime they have any challenge for his urgent intervention.
He equally disclosed his plan to expand his scholarship foundation to accommodate more people in no distant future.
Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Ayama Onyinyechi Success and Nwokporo Maduabuchi Lawrence said that they were overwhelmed with joy over the gesture.
The beneficiaries appreciated the Abakaliki North Lawmaker for his benevolence and prayed to God to reward him bountifully.
They also prayed for more political success and elevation of the state legislator.
