At times like this when you feel fulfilled, it is in line to call for celebrations. That Ebonyi clocked 28 years of its creation and Nigeria attained 64 years of Independence are all issues that are worth celebrating.
Better still, Ebonyi has dumped the aura of negligence, intimidation and underdevelopment to attain the status of the fastest-growing state with rapid development, both human and infrastructural, coupled with a very peaceful atmosphere.
Compared to the other five states that were created alongside Ebonyi in 1996, Ebonyi stood tallest, and this, again, makes the celebrations worthwhile. For that reason, Ebonyi people will ever be eternally grateful to the late Sani Abacha, the former Military Head of State in Nigeria who hearkened to the cry and demand of Ebonyi founding fathers and created our sovereign state, Ebonyi, the Salt of Nation.
Special mention of His Excellency, Rt Hon Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru should be made. He came, saw and conquered the remaining obstacles with his People's Charter of Needs mantra. The modalities and precisions of tackling issues are great and smooth to the appreciation of the people.
Your Excellency's modus operandi, as a Leader with few words but actions, has left many doubting as to where this man got his wisdom from.
Your Excellency did not just dabble in leadership; you were tutored and certified excellent.
My felicitation equally goes to Her Excellency, Chief Mrs Mary-Maudline Uzoamka Ogbonna Nwifuru, the originator of BERWO which has wiped tears from the faces of women, children, less privileged people and the vulnerable persons in Ebonyi State. What a way of expressing motherhood.
All the aides to the governor both at the executive, judiciary and legislative arms of the government, have all supported well to re-write the narratives of Ebonyi State.
Then, why should we not roll out the drum, play the guitar and sing Hallelujah to the Lord? What the Lord is doing in Ebonyi State through His Excellency Governor Francis Nwifuru is marvellous in our eyes.
