The Commissioner five in the Local Government Government Service Commission in Ebonyi State, Barr. Kelvin Ituma has paid bursary awards to twenty four university undergraduates who are under his scholarship scheme.
He made the payment during a thanksgiving service marking his one year anniversary in office at Ohaukwu Development Centre in Ohaukwu Local Government Area of the State.
The event which was witnessed by stakeholders including Prince Ndubuisi Chibueze Agbo, Barr. Clement Odah, Chief Fredrick E. Ituma, Chief Livinus Oge, Chief Nesta and business moguls from the Council, commissioners and Secretary of the Local the Local Government service commission, featured a holy mass by Reverend Father Cornelius Agbo of St. Philomina's Parish Amechi Ezzamgbo.
The Commissioner five also made a physical cash payment of fifteen persons he engaged into different skill acquisions drawn from fifteen wards of Ohaukwu council, payment of Jamb fees to youths, distribution of food items, phatonms of wrappers and cash gift to over sixty widows and aged women, distribution of writing materials, barbing equipments as well as donation of five hundred thousand naira and other finacial support from his friends to St. Philomina's Parish Amechi Ezzamgbo for the completion of the church building.
Speaking at the event, the Commissioner five said the initiative was born out of his heart towards complementing the giant efforts of Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifurua at the grassroots and reiterated his desire to continue to impact on the lives of Ohaukwu people and beyond positively.
Barr. Ituma charged the undergraduate students to shun all forms of crimes and cultism and take their studies seriously so as to graduate successfully thereby making him and Ohaukwu people proud, noting that education is not a scam while promised to do all within his reach to ensure the completion of St. Philomina's Parish building.
He also charged the Jambites and skill acquision beneficiaries to show commitment and dedication in their different areas of focus in their own best interest and the larger society.
He Commended Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru for appointing him to serve in his adminstration and vowed to make meaningful contributions that would engader unprecedented development in the State.
Barr. Ituma further extolled the chairman, Secretary and commissioners in the Local Government Service Commission for gracing the event despite their busy schedules and their support to him and prayed God to replenish them accordingly.
The commissioner one in the Local Government Service Commission Arch. Augstine Nwechara while inaugurating the team 4 + 4 equal to FON as formed by Barr. Ituma expressed joy on the humanitarian services of his colleague and charged the team to deliver optimally on the assignment given to them to attract more dividends of democracy in the area.
Earlier in a sermon, the priest incharge of St. Philomina's church Amechi Ezzamgbo Rev. Fr. Cornelius Agbo who enjoined the commissioner five to sustain the tempo of his kind heartedness to God and humanity and never deviate as rewards awaits him in heaven, prayed for more blessings of God, guidance and protection upon him while whishing him all the best in his service years.
The chairman of the occasion and 2023 aspirant for Ohaukwu/Ebonyi federal constituency under APGA Chief Charles Alieze, the Coordinator of Ngbo North DC, Prince Barr Uche Achi Okpaga and that of Ngbo Central Development Centre, Hon. Blessing Adagba, director of personnel management Mbeke DC on behalf of the principal officers of Ohaukwu LGA Mr Patrick Otozi and SA to the Commissioner 5 on special duties, Mr. Agbo Chidi among others commended the commissioner for his philanthropic disposition towards the people of Ohaukwu Local Government Area, describing it as democracy in action.
The chairman educational committe in Ohaukwu North DC Dr. Alison Eke advised the beneficiaries especially the students to toe the line of their benefactor by being honest, decent and an activist as it pays.
According to him, Barr. Kelvin. Ituma engaged me for the selection of the students, we have fifteen wards in Ohaukwu LGA, we selected one person per each ward then on his own he gave a perorogative to the remaining nine making it twenty four"
"Outside the students in the University who collected the bursary awards, we had apprentice, people who are learning trade such hair dressing, catering, fashion and design among others those ones are still fifteen in number selected across 15 wards of Ohaukwu LGA. He also empowered widows and aged women numbering over sixty with food items and wrappers"
He called on political office holders and business moguls to emulate the philanthropic gestures of Barr. Kelvin Ituma who is going round and doing good in his early thirty for the betterment of the society.
Mrs Amaka Larry Udu on behalf of the team 4+4 equal to FON vowed to deliver optimally on their assigned responsibilities.

appreciated the benefactor for his benevolence towards them and promised never to disappoint him while wishing him more greater positions in the future.
