The Chinedu Ogah Foundation has donated assorted foodstuffs worth millions of naira to the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in Ebonyi State, targeting Corps Members currently undergoing the 2025 Batch A Stream II orientation program.
The donation, presented at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Old MacGregor College, Afikpo, was delivered on behalf of the Foundation by its Executive Secretary, Ann Eke-Okocha. She noted that the initiative was a goodwill gesture to welcome the Corps Members to the state and appreciate their commitment to national service.
Eke-Okocha described the NYSC scheme as a transformative program that has positively impacted Nigerian youths, including past beneficiaries of the Foundation's support initiatives.
Receiving the items, the NYSC Ebonyi State Coordinator, Mrs. Oladeinde Foluke, expressed deep appreciation, calling the gesture unprecedented in the history of the state’s NYSC program.
“On behalf of the 2025 Batch A Stream II Corps Members and the entire NYSC Ebonyi family, I sincerely thank the Chinedu Ogah Foundation and especially Honourable Comrade Chinedu Ogah, a man of integrity and foresight, for fulfilling his promise to the Corps Members,” she stated.
Mrs. Foluke assured that the items would be used judiciously to enhance the welfare of the Corps Members and added that the NYSC Director General, Brigadier General OO Nafiu, would be formally informed of the gesture.
She also lauded the Governor of Ebonyi State, Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, for his ongoing support to the NYSC, which she said had motivated other stakeholders like Hon. Ogah to contribute meaningfully.
The Chinedu Ogah Foundation, founded by Hon. Comrade Chinedu Ogah, who represents Ikwo/Ezza South Federal Constituency in the National Assembly, is widely recognized for its interventions in education, health, and youth development.
