The Executive Governor of Bauchi State, Senator Bala Mohammed, has returned to the state after successfully performing the 2025 Hajj pilgrimage in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The governor arrived on Thursday at the Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa International Airport, Bauchi, accompanied by the First Lady of Bauchi State, Her Excellency Aisha Bala Mohammed.
They were received by the Deputy Governor, Rt. Hon. Auwal Jatau, alongside top government officials, traditional rulers, political party stakeholders, and a large crowd of well-wishers.
Hajj, one of the five pillars of Islam, attracts millions of Muslims annually to the holy cities of Makkah and Madinah for spiritual rites and supplication. This year’s pilgrimage saw the participation of thousands of Nigerian faithful, including the governor.
Governor Bala Mohammed is expected to resume official duties immediately, continuing the implementation of key development initiatives and policy reforms aimed at improving infrastructure, education, healthcare, and economic growth in Bauchi State.
