On this momentous occasion of your two-year anniversary as the fourth civilian Governor of Ebonyi State, the Salt of the Nation, I, on behalf of my family, extend my heartfelt congratulations and profound appreciation to Your Excellency, Rt. Hon. (Builder) Prince Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, GGCEHF, for your exceptional leadership and unwavering dedication.
Your administration has ushered in an era of unprecedented growth and development across key sectors, including health, education, civil service, human capital development, agriculture, infrastructure, traditional institutions, and the welfare and empowerment of our people.
Your remarkable commitment to revitalizing the health sector through the recruitment of medical personnel and the equipping of general hospitals and primary health centers across the 13 local government areas and 171 wards stands as a testament to your determination to improve the lives of our citizens.
In addition, your deep regard for workers’ welfare has been evident in the employment of over 1,000 new staff, the payment of longstanding gratuities and pensions dating back to 1996, and the regular payment of the minimum wage. Your provision of transportation support through vehicle donations, as well as various incentives and bonuses, has boosted morale and enhanced productivity.
Your transformative efforts in youth empowerment have opened up avenues for growth and self-reliance through strategic appointments and financial support for entrepreneurship. Many of our young people have launched thriving businesses, and their success stories continue to resonate throughout the state.
Moreover, your visionary initiatives in agriculture have empowered our youth by training them in modern farming techniques and providing the financial support needed to establish their ventures. The recent launch of the Ebonyi Industrial Cluster and the revitalization of the pipeline factory underscore your commitment to industrialization and economic growth.
In the education sector, your administration has significantly increased subvention to state-owned universities, reduced tuition fees, and implemented key interventions to support students. Your initiatives to improve transportation infrastructure across the state are also deeply commendable.
I also wish to acknowledge the invaluable contributions of the First Lady, Chief Mrs. Mary-Maudline Uzoamaka Nwifuru; the Deputy Governor, Princess Patricia Onyemaechi Obila; the Speaker of the Ebonyi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Moses Odunwa; the Chief Judge, Justice Elvis Ngene; members of the National Assembly; and all law-abiding citizens of Ebonyi State, whose unwavering support has been instrumental in driving the progress of our beloved state.
