The African Democratic Congress (ADC) on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, officially released the comprehensive list of its authentic state chairmen across Nigeria’s 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), in what it described as part of its ongoing nationwide structural update.
This announcement, made through a statement from the party’s National Secretariat and shared via its official social media channels, aims to reaffirm the legitimacy of its grassroots leadership and strengthen internal party organization ahead of key political activities.
According to the statement, each geopolitical zone is fully represented, with designated chairmen empowered to oversee and coordinate party affairs within their respective states.
Clarification on Akwa Ibom State Membership Discrepancy
In a related development, the ADC addressed a specific concern in Akwa Ibom State, where reports emerged that certain individuals had obtained party membership cards without proper verification or endorsement.
The party has therefore directed all affected members in the state to immediately visit the ADC state office in Uyo for proper documentation. This includes stamping and signing of their membership cards by the recognized state chairman, Duke Gabriel Dick, and ensuring that their names are entered into the official party register.
“This step is crucial to avoid any misrepresentation and to uphold the integrity of the party’s membership database,” the statement read.
