The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Abakaliki branch, has called on the sons and daughters of Ezekuna to embrace unity, reconciliation, and a renewed sense of purpose during the 2025 Oke-Aku celebration.
In a goodwill message signed by its chairman, Barrister Ede Samuel Ede, the NBA described the cultural festival as a symbolic season of rebirth and unity for the Ezza Ezekuna people and the broader Ebonyi Central Senatorial District.
Ede lauded Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru for his administration’s implementation of the “People’s Charter of Needs,” noting that its impact resonates deeply across the senatorial zones.
“I am thrilled to felicitate His Excellency Prince (Bldr) Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, the Executive Governor of Ebonyi State, Ebonyians, descendants of Ezekuna and the Nigeria Bar Association, Abakaliki branch, on this historic event of the Okeaku festival,” he said.
Describing the festival as a time for reconciliation and vision-building, Barr. Ede emphasized the need for the people to seize the opportunity to advance socio-cultural and socio-political progress rooted in unity.
He concluded with hearty greetings to the Governor, all Ebonyians, and the Ezza Ezekuna community, wishing them a peaceful and impactful Okeaku celebration.
