As tributes continue to pour in across the country in honour of the Minister of Works, Senator David Nweze Umahi, on the occasion of his 62nd birthday, Senator Ken Eze, representing Ebonyi Central Senatorial District, has described him as an "infrastructural doyen" and "renowned builder of men."
In a heartfelt message personally signed by Senator Eze, who also chairs the Senate Committee on Information and National Orientation, he extolled Umahi’s sterling leadership qualities, unwavering patriotism, and remarkable legacy in public service.
“Your Excellency, celebrating you at 62 is more than a birthday. It is a celebration of excellence, visionary leadership, and quality legacies that have impacted lives and redefined public service,” Senator Eze wrote.
He praised Umahi’s monumental strides in infrastructure both as former Governor of Ebonyi State and as the current Minister of Works, describing his developmental blueprint as legendary and transformative. According to him, Umahi has not only left “golden footprints” in human capacity building but continues to “revolutionize the infrastructural landscape of the nation's economy.”
Senator Eze further acknowledged Umahi as a “socio-political colossus, revered mentor and patriotic statesman,” noting that Nigeria is fortunate to benefit from his passion for national growth.
“On behalf of my family and the good people of Ebonyi Central, I join millions in praying for many more years of good health and service to Nigeria and humanity,” the statement concluded.
