The Member representing Ikwo/Ezza South Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Chinedu Ogah, has commended Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru of Ebonyi State for his bold and people-focused reforms in workers’ welfare, education, and infrastructure.
Ogah, in a statement issued in Abakaliki, described the governor’s recent approval of an additional N20,000 to the minimum wage of civil and public servants as a historic move that underscores his unwavering commitment to the welfare of workers in line with his administration’s People’s Charter of Needs.
The lawmaker also applauded the governor’s educational advancement drive, citing the award of scholarships to 140 Ebonyi youths for studies at the ICT University, Oferekpe, Izzi Local Government Area. He noted that the scholarship distributed across the 13 LGAs and the host community will equip beneficiaries with globally relevant ICT-driven skills.
On infrastructure, Ogah praised the ongoing remodeling of the Ebonyi State Library to international standards, describing it as a visionary investment that will drive research, digital literacy, and innovation across the state.
He called on civil servants to reciprocate the governor’s goodwill with renewed dedication to duty while assuring Nwifuru of the unwavering support of his constituents and pledging continued collaboration in delivering dividends of democracy to the people.
