Chinedu Ngwuta, Abakaliki
A Non Governmental Organization Benevolent Global Networks (BGN) has announced its plan to organize Campaign /sensitization against youth Restiveness and Juvenile Delinquencies in Ebonyi State on Friday the 17th day of October, 2025.
Chief Executive officer (CEO) of the organization Mr. Daniel Chinedu Igwe disclosed this to the Direct Reporters news Desk when he had an audience with the management in Abakaliki the Ebonyi State Capital.
Igwe informed that the programme was first launched in Port Harcourt on the 18th of September, 2024 during which the Governor of Rivers State Chief Similaye Fubara was represented by the commissioner for Youth and sport in the state.
Igwe said rising cases of social vices in the educational institutions informed his decision to float the programme "Nationwide Education Campaign/ sensitization against youth Restiveness and juvenile Delinquencies" across the South East and other geo- political zones in the country.
He noted, he was supposed to host the program at the zonal level before that of the state but" Charity they say begins at home" that was why he decided to bring it home before going to other states of the south East.
He called on all students in the state to avail themselves the opportunity to witness the program as it would offer them the opportunity to hear from eminent scholars from various works of life.
He maintained that the program was designed to shape the lives of those in the secondary and higher institutions since they are the major target and audience in the program.
Igwe regretted that the administration of Francis Nwifuru was doing much in the education sector but due to moral decay in the society his efforts seemed unnoticed.
He called on the governor not to be discouraged in the propagation of good governance, especially as it relates to attitudinal change programs in the political space of Ebonyi State.
