Two young men, Chisom Achor (22) and Chinonso Imeba (28), were on Tuesday, 18 November 2025, arraigned before Magistrate Court 1 (Admin) in Enugu North Local Government Area over allegations bordering on conspiracy and cyberstalking involving defamatory social media posts targeted at federal lawmaker, Rt. Hon. Chinedu Ogah.
The defendants were brought before His Worship O. S. Chukwuani on a two-count charge relating to conspiracy and cybercrime.
According to the charge, Achor and Imeba alongside others still at large allegedly conspired between September and October 2025 at Obed Camp, Ngenevu, Enugu, to commit the offence of cyberstalking, an act said to contravene Section 27 of the Cybercrime (Prohibition and Prevention) Act, 2015 (as amended in 2024).
In the second count, the prosecution accused the duo of intentionally publishing videos on Facebook and TikTok using the handles Ikwo Pluto and Pluto 777.
In the said videos, they purportedly used the picture of Hon. Ogah, who represents the Ikwo/Ezza South federal constituency, and made grave allegations that he killed youths from Item Amagu, collected their “talents,” caused some to run mad, and used others for ritual purposes, claims the prosecution described as highly damaging to the lawmaker’s reputation.
The offence, according to the prosecution, is punishable under Section 24(2)(a)(b) of the Cybercrime Act (as amended 2024).
The defendants did not take their plea, as the magistrate court lacked the jurisdiction to entertain the substantive matter. Their defence team was led by Barr. Chijioke Ugweze.
Prosecuting counsel, CSP Justice Attah (Esq.), tendered the original case file, which the court admitted before ordering that it be transmitted to the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP), Enugu State, for legal advice.
Following the submissions, the court ordered that Achor and Imeba be remanded at the Enugu Correctional Centre pending the DPP’s review and further directives.
