Governor Francis Nwifuru of Ebonyi State has called for stronger collaboration between Anambra and Ebonyi States, emphasizing that closer cooperation would promote regional integration, economic growth, and social development, benefiting both states and the broader Igbo region.
Nwifuru made this known in a statement issued on Sunday by his Chief Press Secretary, Dr. Monday Uzor.
“As a fellow governor and brother in service to our Igbo region, I look forward to strengthening ties between Anambra and Ebonyi, working together to drive regional development and improve the lives of our people,” he said.
The Ebonyi State governor also congratulated Professor Charles Soludo on his re-election as Governor of Anambra State, describing his victory in the November 8, 2025, gubernatorial election as a strong endorsement of his leadership, vision, and commitment to the progress of the Igbo nation and Nigeria.
In the statement, Nwifuru commended Soludo’s achievements during his first term, noting that the electoral outcome reflects the confidence the people of Anambra State have in his governance, intellectual capacity, and dedication to public service.
“On behalf of the government and people of Ebonyi State, I heartily congratulate Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo, CFR, on his well-deserved victory,” he said, adding that Soludo’s re-election would further strengthen democratic ideals and good governance in the Southeast.
He reaffirmed the enduring bond between Ebonyi and Anambra States and a shared commitment to advancing regional development and Nigeria’s democratic project.
