A member representing Ikwo/Ezza-South Federal Constituency and Chairman of the House Committee on Reformatory Institutions, Comrade Chinedu Ogah has commended Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State for his strategic defection from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
In a statement issued on Tuesday, Ogah described the governor’s decision as a “significant and transformational step” and praised the people of Rivers State for embracing what he termed a “Renewed Hope agenda,” which aligns with national efforts toward development, stability, and collective progress.
According to Ogah, Governor Fubara’s move demonstrates a shared vision for a more prosperous and united Nigeria, emphasizing that political alignment across the South East and South South regions is vital for fostering meaningful growth and regional stability.
The lawmaker also lauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, whom he described as a “great Commander-in-Chief,” noting the positive impact of his administration on the development of the South East and South South. Ogah stressed that unity under the APC is crucial, urging political stakeholders to come together as “one formidable house” to advance the nation’s development agenda.
