As Nigeria ushers in 2026, Dr. Ezeh Emmanuel Ezeh, a seasoned public servant and 2023 House of Representatives candidate for Abakaliki/Izzi Federal Constituency, has called on citizens to embrace courage, clarity, and collective action in shaping the nation’s trajectory.
“A new year is not merely a date on the calendar; it is an opportunity to begin anew. Every sunrise reminds us that the future is not given but it is made. As we enter 2026, we have a renewed mandate to rethink, rebuild, and reimagine the Nigeria that is truly possible,” Ezeh stated.
Outlining his vision for the country, Ezeh emphasized leadership anchored in justice, accountability, and national unity.
“I envision a nation where leadership reflects the will of the people, institutions serve rather than suppress, and every citizen, young and old, can dream without fear.
"A Nigeria where hard work is rewarded, diversity is celebrated, and the rule of law is not just a slogan, but a lived reality,” he said.
Ezeh stressed the importance of integrity, focus, and action in the pursuit of national development.
“I am not distracted by noise or personal interests. Our obligation is to build a foundation strong enough to carry the aspirations of the next generation.
"Wishes alone are not enough but we owe them action and progress,” he added.
Calling for renewed civic engagement, Ezeh urged Nigerians to prioritize the nation over narrow interests.
“As 2026 unfolds, let us choose courage over complacency, truth over convenience, and nationhood over partisan divides.
"Let us be the citizens who demand better, and the leaders who deliver it,” he emphasized.
He concluded by highlighting the pillars necessary for national progress: clarity, conviction, and collective action.
“This is the year to act, to lead, and to build the Nigeria we know is possible. Our future begins today,” Ezeh affirmed.
