In a goodwill message made available to journalists on Sunday, Nwedu lauded Governor Nwifuru’s leadership philosophy, which he said is anchored on people-centered development, institutional reforms, and sustainable peace.
He characterized the governor as “a visionary leader, a trailblazer, and a beacon of hope,” noting that under his stewardship, Ebonyi State has witnessed measurable progress across critical sectors including infrastructure, agriculture, education, healthcare, and youth empowerment.
According to him, ongoing road construction projects, strategic investments in agricultural value chains, renovation and expansion of public schools, as well as targeted empowerment schemes for young people and women, underscore what he described as a pragmatic and responsive administration.
“Your Excellency’s commitment to the People’s Charter of Needs is not merely a policy framework but a living blueprint for inclusive growth and shared prosperity,” Nwedu stated. “Your days shall be long, your leadership ever impactful, and your vision for Ebonyi State shall continue to yield enduring transformation.”
The EBSIRS board member further commended Governor Nwifuru’s efforts in consolidating peace and strengthening social cohesion across communities in the state. He observed that the administration’s deliberate peace-building initiatives have fostered stability in previously restive areas, thereby creating a conducive environment for economic activities and infrastructural expansion.
Nwedu also highlighted the governor’s scholarship programmes and human capital development initiatives, describing them as strategic investments in the future of Ebonyi. He noted that widening access to quality education remains pivotal to breaking cycles of poverty and unlocking the full potential of the state’s youthful population.
Praising the governor’s personal attributes, Nwedu described him as a leader defined by integrity, humility, and a deep sense of public service. “You have proven yourself a builder of men and a lifter of destinies, shaping lives and communities for generations to come,” he said.
He expressed optimism that Ebonyi State would continue on a trajectory of accelerated growth under Governor Nwifuru’s leadership, assuring him of sustained support from stakeholders committed to fiscal responsibility and economic expansion.
The birthday celebration, he added, is not only a personal milestone for the governor but also an opportunity for citizens to reflect on the progress recorded under his administration and to renew collective commitment toward building a more prosperous and united Ebonyi State.
