An Ebonyi State prominent philanthropist and business leader, Chief Barrister Tochukwu Bartholomew Ogalegu, popularly known as T-Nan has officially resigned from the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Ogalegu, who serves as Chairman of Zelus Groups of Companies and CEO of the Zelunjo Empowerment Foundation, submitted his resignation in a letter dated April 2, 2026.
The letter, addressed to his ward chairman in Ezzamgbo, Ohaukwu Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, was acknowledged by the party on the same day and copied to both state and national APC leadership.
In the letter, Ogalegu registered under membership number APC111203000264 and requested the removal of his name from the party’s membership register.
He cited a careful review of the party’s political direction and activities, particularly in light of upcoming elections, as the reason for his decision.
Despite his departure, he expressed appreciation for the relationship he enjoyed with the party during his time as a member and wished the APC well in its future endeavors at both state and national levels.
Ogalegu’s exit came amid growing speculation about his political ambitions, as he has recently garnered strong grassroots support, with many supporters urging him to contest a National Assembly seat in the 2027 general elections.
