Ebonyi State Coordinator of the Grassroots Advocacy for Tinubu and Nwifuru (GATFON), Barrister Patrick Anayo Mbam, has called on Nigerians to embrace unity, sacrifice, and collective responsibility as the nation navigates ongoing reforms under the leadership of Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
In his 2026 Easter goodwill message to Christians and the people of Ebonyi State, Mbam emphasized the spiritual significance of the season, describing it as a time that symbolizes sacrifice, redemption, and hope.
He urged citizens to reflect on the virtues exemplified by Jesus Christ especially love, humility, forgiveness, and faith as guiding principles for national development.
Mbam expressed strong support for the policy direction of President Tinubu, noting that despite inheriting significant economic and structural challenges, the administration has demonstrated courage in implementing bold reforms.
According to him, early signs of progress are evident in improving investor confidence, gradual economic stabilization, and increased attention to infrastructure and social intervention programmes.
The GATFON coordinator also commended the leadership of Ebonyi State Governor, Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, for what he described as visionary governance and commitment to peace and development in the state.
He further acknowledged the contributions of the First Lady, Chief Mrs. Uzoamaka Nwifuru, and the state APC Chairman, Chief Stanley Okoro Emegha, for their roles in advancing the welfare of the people.
Highlighting the importance of unity, Mbam called on Nigerians to rise above ethnic, religious, and political divisions, stressing that national progress can only be achieved through collective effort and shared responsibility.
He encouraged citizens to support ongoing reforms to ensure long-term stability and growth.
“As we celebrate Easter, we must not only pray for our leaders but also actively contribute to nation-building. The success of these reforms depends on our collective support and commitment,” he stated.
Mbam further urged religious leaders and community stakeholders to promote peace and harmonious coexistence, especially during the festive period, while discouraging actions capable of causing division or unrest.
Describing Ebonyi State as “the Salt of the Nation,” he called on residents to uphold the values of resilience, unity, and progress that the state represents.
He wished Christians a peaceful and joyful Easter celebration, praying that the season would bring renewed hope, love, and prosperity to all Nigerians.
