Ebonyi State Indigenous Computer Dealers Association has formally endorsed Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru for a second term in office, describing his administration as performance-driven, people-oriented, and firmly anchored on the “People’s Charter of Needs” governance philosophy.
The endorsement was made during a well-attended meeting of the association held at Senator Chris Nwankwo Park, Abakaliki, on Friday, where leaders and members unanimously adopted a resolution backing the governor’s re-election bid ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Speaking after the resolution, the Chairman of the association, Engr. Lawrence Ogbaga, said the decision followed a comprehensive assessment of the governor’s performance across critical sectors of the state economy, including infrastructure, education, and healthcare delivery.
He noted that the association, which comprises key stakeholders in information technology and computer services in Ebonyi State, arrived at the conclusion based on what it described as visible, impactful, and development-driven leadership.
According to him, “The assessment conducted by Ebonyi State Indigenous Computer Dealers Association shows clearly that the governor is doing massively well. His leadership is people-oriented and purposeful, anchored on the People’s Charter of Needs.”
Ogbaga further expressed optimism that ongoing projects across the state, when completed, would significantly transform the socio-economic landscape of Ebonyi State, adding that residents would be impressed by the scale of development initiatives.
Earlier in the meeting, Engr. Angus Oshianu, the Financial Secretary of the association, formally moved the motion for the endorsement of Governor Nwifuru for a second term, citing what he described as the administration’s developmental strides across key sectors.
He stated: “I hereby move the motion for the adoption and endorsement of our dear Governor, His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Builder Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, for a second term in office come 2027, in the name of unity and progress.”
The motion was seconded by the Secretary General of the association, Engr. Celestine Chibueze Nweke, who aligned with the position, emphasizing the governor’s visible performance and inclusive governance style as justification for his continued stay in office.
Following the motion and its seconding, members of the association participated in a voice vote, which produced an overwhelming affirmation in support of the endorsement.
Consequently, the association passed a vote of confidence on the governor and unanimously adopted him as its preferred candidate for the 2027 governorship election.
