The National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Ebonyi State Chapter, has congratulated the Governor of Ebonyi State, Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, on his victory at the recently concluded All Progressives Congress (APC) Governorship Primary Election and the successful celebration of his three years in office.
The Council described the governor’s administration as impactful, visionary, and people-oriented, noting that his leadership has continued to reposition Ebonyi State through strategic developmental policies and infrastructural transformation.
In a goodwill message signed by the Ebonyi State Chairman of NYCN, Comrade Douglas Ochisha, the youth body stated that Governor Nwifuru’s overwhelming victory at the APC primary election was a clear reflection of the confidence and acceptance he enjoys among the people of the state.
According to the Council, the past three years under the present administration have marked a significant era of institutional rebirth, infrastructural renewal, and inclusive governance anchored on the People’s Charter of Needs agenda.
The group commended the governor for what it described as unprecedented achievements across critical sectors including road infrastructure, healthcare delivery, education, agriculture, industrialisation, security, workers’ welfare, urban renewal, and rural integration.
The NYCN particularly applauded Governor Nwifuru’s commitment toward youth empowerment and inclusion through deliberate investments in entrepreneurship, digital innovation, skills acquisition, leadership development, and economic empowerment initiatives aimed at improving the productivity and competitiveness of young people in the state.
The Council further praised the administration’s ongoing infrastructural projects, including strategic road networks and the continued enhancement of facilities at the Chuba Okadigbo International Airport, which it noted are positioning Ebonyi State as an emerging economic and investment destination.
The youth body also lauded the governor’s leadership style, describing it as peaceful, conciliatory, accessible, and inclusive, adding that such qualities have continued to strengthen public confidence in governance and democratic institutions within the state.
The statement equally acknowledged the humanitarian efforts of the wife of the governor, Chief Mrs. Mary-Maudlin Uzoamaka Nwifuru, particularly through the Better Health for Rural Women, Children and Internally Displaced Persons Foundation (BERWO), which it said has continued to provide support and empowerment for vulnerable groups across Ebonyi State.
The Council also commended the Deputy Governor, Princess Patricia Onyemaechi Obila; the Speaker of the Ebonyi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Moses Ije Odunwa; members of the State Executive Council; lawmakers; traditional rulers; and other stakeholders for their collaborative roles in supporting the administration’s developmental vision.
Reaffirming its support for the present administration, the NYCN pledged continued partnership with the government in promoting sustainable development, youth participation, peace, and democratic consolidation in Ebonyi State.
The Council prayed for God’s continued wisdom, strength, sound health, and protection for Governor Nwifuru as he continues to lead the state toward greater development and prosperity.
