The document, dated June 29, 2026, was purportedly addressed to the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), stating that the APC National Working Committee (NWC) had reviewed and approved the reports of the Primary Election Appeal Committees before forwarding the final list of candidates for the affected constituencies to the electoral umpire.
The letter, purportedly signed by APC National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, and National Secretary, Senator Surajudeen Ajibola Basiru, stated that the submission was made in accordance with the Electoral Act, 2022 (as amended), and INEC's Regulations and Guidelines.
According to the viral document, the following changes were made in the Senatorial Districts:
