Ebonyi State government under the watch of Governor David Nweze Umahi has rolled out another opportunity to assist Nigerian students by offering one year academic scholarship to two hundred and twenty two (222) students across the nation.
The lucky students would be offered admission into various medical courses at the newly established King David University of Medical Sciences, Uburu.
This was contained in a statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Kenneth Ugbala and Prof. Jesse Uneke -the Acting Vice Chancellor, King David University of Medical Sciences, urging all interested candidates to apply through the school website www.kdums.edu.ng.
According to the statement, the scholarship application is opened to students from the 36 states of the federation and Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, while January 23, 2022 remains deadline for the exercise.
It was gathered that the one year scholarship worths about N2.5m to best candidates per state in Pharmacy, Nursing Science, Medical Laboratory Science, Biomedical Engineering, Radiography and Radiation Science and Optometry.
Our correspondent reports that the state government has already offered a six year scholarship to 14 of her best indigenes to study medicine in the new University.
Recall that King David University of Medical Sciences is a brain child of Governor Umahi's led administration.
