The APC women leaders who converged yesterday at the party's office, Hatchery Road, Nkaliki, to deliberate on critical issues concerning women and the need to embark on aggressive political sensitization in their various wards, stressed the importance of women in political mobilization and also expressed their readiness to work with all the candidates of the party to ensure overwhelming victory in the upcoming general elections.
While addressing the women, the APC women leader in Abakaliki L.G.A, Hon. Mrs Justina Nwofoke commended the women for their steadfastness and commitments in support of their party and advised them never to be distracted by unfounded rumours contradicting the candidacy of Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru is the sole candidate for the APC gubernatorial seat in the 2023 general elections in Ebonyi State.
The women leader noted that Ebonyians are solidly behind the state governor and capable leader of APC in Ebonyi State, His Excellency, Engr. Chief David Nweze Umahi, added that the governor has made giant strides in providing dividends of democracy for the people and also commended him for standing on equity in the zoning of key political positions in the state.
The women in their separate remarks pledged to give their unflinching support to the incumbent Executive Chairman, Abakaliki L.G.A, Hon. Stephen Ebere Nwogba, and also congratulated all the APC candidates who made it to the INEC final list while expressing hope that they will make it to the end.
