The Commissioner Five in the Local Government Service Commission in Ebonyi State, Barr. Kelvin Ituma, has dedicated his son, Prince Maximilian Chiwenitem Ituma, to God, while simultaneously unveiling a newly built relaxation centre, Amapiano Garden, in Abakaliki as part of efforts to promote youth employment and economic growth.
The child dedication ceremony, which held in Abakaliki, attracted several dignitaries, including the Governor of Ebonyi State, Chief Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, as well as other prominent personalities from across the state.
Speaking during the dedication, Commissioner Ituma expressed profound gratitude to God for blessing his marriage with a son, describing children as divine gifts entrusted to parents.
“God gave me a son, and I am returning him back to God because every child is a gift from God. I am deeply grateful for this blessing,” he said.
The event also marked the official unveiling of Amapiano Garden, located opposite Presco Campus, Abakaliki, signaling the commencement of full economic activities at the centre.
Ituma explained that the establishment of the relaxation centre was driven by his desire to contribute meaningfully to youth empowerment, job creation, and the economic development of Ebonyi State and the country at large.
According to him, the facility has already provided employment for 37 youths, with plans underway to engage more hands as operations expand.
“Amapiano Garden is a relaxation centre open to everyone both male and female. It has accommodation, a restaurant, bar, and game centre, among other facilities. These have enabled us to employ 37 youths so far, and we intend to employ more,” he stated.
He assured patrons of quality service and fair treatment at all times, emphasizing his commitment to running the facility with professionalism and integrity.
The commissioner also expressed appreciation to Governor Nwifuru for his continuous support and encouragement, noting that the governor’s leadership has been instrumental to his personal and professional growth.
While addressing youths, Ituma urged them to remain hardworking, focused, and determined, stressing that success is achievable through dedication and perseverance.
The launch of Amapiano Garden, he noted, aligned with his broader vision of making positive contributions that will have lasting impacts on young people and the overall socio-economic development of Ebonyi State.
